Partners Kosova and CSSP will organize two days Mediation conference on 1-2 December 2009 in Pristina, Kosovo aiming to bring together the main stakeholders in the field of ADR to develop a strategy on how ADR services like mediation can support the efficiency of the justice system of Kosovo and reduce the case backlog that currently exists.

Over 150 Mediators from all over Europe and the United States came together to discuss diverse aspects of mediation. It was a free flow of exchange with over 15 interactive workshops being offered by experts over the two day conference. Topics ranged from exploring peer mediation to strengthening court-annexed mediation and building tools to navigating difficult conversations. Mediators had ample time to exchange experiences and develop strategies on how to promote mediation in their respective countries. Preceding and following the conference their was also a meeting of the SEEMF Country Coordinators.

The Conference was organized in cooperation with the Croatian Mediation Association (HUM), and received sponsorship from the British and Norwegian Embassies in Croatia, the German Mediation Association, the German Foreign Ministry, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, and the CSSProject for Integrative Mediation (CSSP).

The next regional SEEMF conference is planned for 2010 and will take place in Albania. Please check back to find more details regarding the conference once the date approaches.
