Partners Kosova and CSSP will organize two days Mediation conference on 1-2 December 2009 in Pristina, Kosovo aiming to bring together the main stakeholders in the field of ADR to develop a strategy on how ADR services like mediation can support the efficiency of the justice system of Kosovo and reduce the case backlog that currently exists.

EUROPEAN MEDIATION CONFERENCE

Belfast, Northern Ireland, April 2008

From 10.4.08 to 12.4.08 the European Mediation Conference took place in Belfast. It was organized by the Scottish Mediation Network and Mediation Northern Ireland. More than 400 participants attended the conference from almost all European states and also from North America, South Africa and from other parts of the world. The honorable guests and  lecturers included Martti Ahtisaari, Jan Egeland, John Paul Lederach, Machteld Pel and others.

The conference was dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the peace agreement in Northern Ireland, called the Good Friday Agreement The topics that ran throughout the conference included Development of Mediation Practice, Linking and Networking (Public Awareness), Research and Evaluation, Quality Assurance, European Dynamic, Difference, Division & Diversity, Something fresh and new, learning from other valued occupations, negotiators, therapists, mentors, etc. The topics refered to different types of mediation including Family, Neighbour/community, Peer mediation/schools, Workplace, Business/commercial, Peace-building/international, Community Cohesion and Renewal, Court, Planning & Environmental.

At the same time, the South Eastern European Mediation Forum (SEEMF) had a session with the national coordinators Srdan Šimac for Croatia, Jelena Aršic for Serbia, Ivana Gajovic for Montenegro, Gordana Ristin and Simona Mlakar for Slovenia and Dr. Juan Diaz for CSSP. The aim of the session was to discuss the organisation of the Annual SEEMF Conference which will take place in Zagreb in November 2008.



IV Regional Conference of The South Eastern European Mediation Forum (SEEMF)


Dear Colleagues,
We would like to cordially invite you to the IV Regional Conference of The South Eastern European Mediation Forum (SEEMF), to be held on November 6-8 2008 in Zagreb, Croatia.
The Plenary Session of the Conference (Friday, November 7th, morning) is to be held in Hotel Dubrovnik, Gajeva 1, and the workshops (Friday, November 7th, afternoon, and Saturday, November 8th, morning) at four locations in Zagreb (Croatian Mediation Association, Teslina 1; Commercial Court in Zagreb, Petrinjska 8; High Commercial Court of the Republic of Croatia, Berislaviceva 11; Hotel Dubrovnik, Gajeva 1).
For the Conference participation it is required to fill in and e-mail the enclosed registration form in English or Croatian to seemfconference@gmail.com by October 25th 2008.
We are pleased to inform you that no registration fee is required for the participation at the Conference.
The Plenary Session of the Conference is to be held in Croatian and English with simultaneous translation, and individual workshops in the language listed in the program, without translation.
The general workshops’ descriptions, workshops’ languages and brief Curriculum Vitae of the speakers are enclosed.
The meetings of SEEMF coordinators are closed to the public, as is the final lecture by Mr. Kenneth Cloke (Saturday, November 8th 2008 at 13:00 PM).
